Demoness

This article is to serve as an extension to what we know about mainstream medicine. While mainstream medicine attempts to identify many of the mental \ physical problems that people are struggling with, it also fails to acknowledge that some of these problems are spiritual.

Spiritual problems require spiritual solutions. Prescribing expensive pharmaceutical drugs does nothing to a demon or a devil. In all truth, it can make things worse. Fortunately, Jesus gave his disciples and Christians authority and power over these things.

What power did Jesus give to his 12 disciples?

"And when he had called unto him his twelve disciples, he gave them power against unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all manner of sickness and all manner of disease." - Matthew 10:1

Casting out unclean spirits

Paul casts out a spirit from a woman:

"And it came to pass, as we went to prayer, a certain damsel possessed with a spirit of divination met us, which brought her masters much gain by soothsaying: The same followed Paul and us, and cried, saying, These men are the servants of the most high God, which shew unto us the way of salvation. And this did she many days. But Paul, being grieved, turned and said to the spirit, I command thee in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her. And he came out the same hour." - Acts 16:16-18

Jesus casts out an unclean spirit from a man named Legion:

"And forthwith Jesus gave them leave. And the unclean spirits went out, and entered into the swine: and the herd ran violently down a steep place into the sea, (they were about two thousand;) and were choked in the sea." - Mark 5:13

More powerful devils?

There was an instance where his disciples could not cast out a devil. However, Jesus rebuked this devil and cast him out. When his disciples asked why they could not cast him out he replied that this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting. - Mark 5

Was this power limited to only Jesus' disciples?

No, it was not. John says that another person was casting out devils in Jesus' name. While John forbid this man Jesus said forbid him not, he is for us. - Luke 9:49-50

Faith in healing

There appears to be another factor involved in healing called faith. In Luke 8, there is a woman who had an issue with blood for twelve years. The Bible says that she spent everything that she had on physicians and was not any better. But, after she touched the border of Jesus' garment, she was healed. Later in chapter 8, Jesus finds this woman and says her faith has made her whole.

Faith is mentioned many other times as part of healing. In Matthew 9, two blind men want to see. "And when he was come into the house, the blind men came to him: and Jesus saith unto them, Believe ye that I am able to do this? They said unto him, Yea, Lord. Then touched he their eyes, saying, According to your faith be it unto you. And their eyes were opened;"

What's the takeaway?

In one last ditch effort people will only consult Jesus after all else fails. But, doesn't the God who created you know the most about you and your body? He does. He is the good doctor. Look at his credentials. He healed all those who sought him.

Do you have faith in God to heal you? If so, according to your faith be it unto you. Amen.
